Pearl, my dear cousin, it's with great sadness that I write this. I'm still in disbelief that you are no longer here.
Saddened by the news of your sudden passing, brought back memories of our childhood years. Those were happy times. We were close. We did so much together growing up, playing together weekend visitis, family outings with our parents and siblings. I will forever cherish those memories.
In later years, although distance kept us from seeing each other frequently, our bond remained unbroken.
Your passing has left a void in our family. It saddens me to know you have gone. You were my cousin also my friend.
You will forever be remembered and remin special to myself and to our family. So until Gods promise is fulfilled when we will see our loved ones again, rest in peace Pearl, my cousin my friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Pearl at Charlottetown Jr. Ps. In the time I worked with her, it was very easy to tell she cared for the students she supported and so many kids benefited from her help. My daugther who also got the pleasure of knowing her as a student, enjoyed seeing her around the school. The greatness she's spread in the school community is immeasurable. She had a smile that could light up the room. My condolences to her family and friends. I know that I was shocked and saddened by this sudden news. I hope her family and close friends can heal and know she was a wonderful person. For her years of service to students with learning challeges, I have made a donation to the Learning Disabilities association of Toronto under her name. I believe it's very fitting.

I befriended Pearl in 2009 at Henry Hudson PS. We both provided support to very challenging Spec Ed classes. I often marveled at how Pearl always maintained her cool under trying circumstances. She and I had difficult students, but with the Lord's help and great teachers/Admin having our backs, we were able to get through the year. I will always remember Pearl for her patience and responsible nature. She was like a wise woman, full of mystery, as she was a very private individual. I had the pleasure to also work alongside her brother who had additionally changed careers and became a respected Supply Teacher. The two of them were solid and stellar folk. I was quite shocked and really sad to learn about Pearl's sudden passing. May the Dean family be comforted that Pearl's new residence in the heavenly realms is the ultimate destination and her reward for saying, Yes, to Jesus. Furthermore, I pray that the Dean family feel His peace and compassionate arms surrounding them. He will forever remain our Hope and because of this, we can rejoice in knowing our loved ones are safe and well.

My beautiful cousin Pearl: I can’t believe you are gone; this is too painful for me to say goodbye therefore I will only reflect on the good days and good times we had growing up as kids; you might be out of sight but will always be in my heart and the memories of you will live in me forever. I will miss you more than words can say and will always think of you. Love you now and forever. Thank you for being a part of my life. Until we meet again.
Your favorite cousin Cecil.

I'm so sorry to hear the news of Pearl's passing. She was a kind, gentle woman who simply loved working with our Charlottetown students. She was dedicated to helping and nurturing those who needed that extra little push. Quite often, Pearl was in the library on her lunch hour checking emails and during that time, we enjoyed sharing stories about our trips to the islands. My deepest condolences to your family.
Sincerely,
Michelle Colaço
