I was very sad to learn of your Mum’s passing. Jeannette and I haven’t been in much contact in recent years, only intermittently through Facebook, but we had the same thoughts on many issues, I found. The last time I saw her was at Oliver and Isis’ wedding and we had a long talk there about the state of society today – it was quite enjoyable for both of us, I believe. Going back to when you and all the kids were growing up, we made the long drive out to Pickering pretty regularly, to celebrate Christmases, birthdays and so on and what I remember most is the sense of family, like it or lump it! I’m glad you stayed close to Oliver and Emily over the years, even when everyone's lives went in different directions. Your Mum was a good sister to Margaret; they were always there for each other. Jeannette will leave a huge hole in a lot of peoples’ lives and that’s the sign of a life well-lived for others. She will be missed by many.

I was sadden with grift when I heard the news about Jeanette. We grew up together. It was a 2min. walk from my house to Jeanette's. We laughed together, but trust me , Jeanette kept the party going. Jeanette had enough jokes and smiles that no one else could touch. Jeanette, you were a gift from God. Love you.

I will always remember Jeannete as someone who personified resilience, strength, and fortitude. I had the great honour of spending a great deal of time around her and her loved ones - where she showed me what a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and mother she was. Her contagious laughter, playful smile, striking blue eyes, and vivacious signature red hair will be memories that will live with me forever.
To Dave, John, Bryson, Margaret, and family: Thank you for sharing Jeanette with us. I hope you find comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten. May you carry and foster within you the best parts of someone that touched all our lives.

A razor-sharp mind, strength of character & a superior sense of humor are what I remember about Jeanette. She was my mom's best friend for almost 60 years, & helping to keep Mom & me, open-minded, laughing & loved. I loved Jeanette like a sister & will never forget her. My very deepest condolences go out to the family.
