Obituary of Mr. Alexander Michael Pearson
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, and poppie at the Scarborough General Hospital on January 24, 2022 with his adoring family by his side. He was born to the late Gordon and Mallie (Cameron) Pearson in New Victoria on November 26th, 1938. After marrying his sweetheart, he moved and raised his family in Agincourt, Ontario. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Selena (Cameron/MacDonald) and devoted children Glen (Michelle) and Karen Sottile (Tony). After retiring from Lake Ontario Steel after 33 years of service, he spent many years enjoying and bragging about his six grandchildren, the pride and joy of his life: Cameron, Kayleigh, and Alexia Sottile, and Mitchell, Kiera and Spencer Pearson. He was predeceased by his brother Lowell and sister Ava, as well as his nephew Gordon and niece Debbie Lee. Also survived by sister-in-law Vera Pearson and brother-in-law Peter MacDonald, and his nieces Linda and Nicole (Ian) Nearing. Always ready to lend a helping hand and share his sage advice to family, friends, or neighbours alike at any time, he will be forever remembered. A private family service will be held at Ogden Funeral Home in Scarborough, Ontario due to COVID restrictions. He will be brought to his final resting place, his Cape Breton home, and a memorial will take place at a later date. May angels’ wings lift you up and bless you in the peace and love of God.
