Obituary of Mr. Glen Simpson
With great sadness we announce that Glen Simpson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21st at Shepherd Lodge following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He is sorely missed by his daughter Susan Davis, grandchildren Samantha and Brian Davis, Hailey Simpson, daughter-in-law Theresa Diduck, sister-in-law Sue Kralik (Erich), nieces Christine and Heidi, nephew Stephen and is predeceased by son Jim Simpson and wife Jill Simpson. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a Masters Degree in Economics (’62), Glen spent most of his career as a Senior Economist with the Ontario Ministry of Health and was deeply involved in the establishment of OHiP protocols. Following his retirement, he spent more than 20 years in various volunteer roles at Scarborough Grace Hospital as well as additional volunteer work for St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, Agincourt. Many thanks to the staff of Shepherd Lodge for their kindness, love and care of Glen. Funeral Service and visitation at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 4125 Sheppard Avenue East, Agincourt, on Thursday December 23. Visitation from 9 a.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 10 a.m. Donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto in Glen’s memory would be appreciated.
