Obituary of Mrs. Hardai Budhu a.k.a Aunty Finey

Hardai Budhu, affectionately known as Aunty Finey, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 88 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons, Howard Ritraj, Vinoo Ritraj and Harvey Ritraj, her 3 daughters, Sharmini Ajodhia, Kamini Ritraj and Nalini McDavid,  her 10 grandchildren, Randy and Kevin Ritraj, Laelia Adjodhia-Nicholson and Raphael Ajodhia, Kimberly, Kristen, Ryan Ritraj, Nikita McDavid, and Kenny and Rylan Ritraj,  her 3 great grandchildren Ria and Kian Ritraj and Sterling House. Aunty Finey was predeceased by her husband Ritraj Budhu aka Moses Beekhee (2016).

Aunty Finey left her homeland, Guyana in 1993 with her husband Moses Beekhee and have resided in Scarborough. She enjoyed sewing and loved to cook and she served as the Deputy Laxmi Sabha Leader for the Women’s Auxiliary at The Voice of Dharma Temple Scarborough Inc. from 2000 up until her illness in 2008.

Her most valued treasure was her family and was happiest when the house was full of family. Aunty Finey was a role model and hero to friends and family. She was kind, gentle, patient and strong and was a woman of unwavering strength and resilience. Above all, Aunty Finey was a loved and cherished Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Mother-in-law and will be remembered by her family and friends for her easy smile and her caring nature.
