When I was a kid, uncle Chris was the uncle who would check our home work, when he came home from the ship :). When I came to Canada is when I got to know how wonderful a person my Uncle Chris truly was. From the time I arrived and through out the years, he has been like a dad to me in Canada. Uncle Chris, Aunty Cynthia, Errol and Candice have always been there for me, at every milestone in my life. Even though we spent many years apart, once we met again, we connected right away. I will always remember they day when Uncle Chris surprised us with a gift for Jake, he refurbished Candice’s toddler bicycle (red & black) Jake was the only kid who had a cool retro bike, we still have and treasure that bike. Uncle Chris has inspired us in so many ways, with his kindness , determination and his intelligence till the very end. Dearest Aunt Cynthia and cousins Errol, Candice and Kevin. It's with a heavy heart that we send our condolences your way, on the passing of our dear Uncle Chris.
We remember Uncle Chris as a kind, warm hearted and loving man. Always acting with kindness, fairness and logic. When I think about Uncle Chris I remember our last trip to Canada where he showed us his bar, he was very fond and proud of his bar that he had built. We were also lucky enough to announce our engagement during our last meeting.
Today, I'm left with such fond memories of you Uncle Chris, as you join our heavenly father. To my Aunty Cynthia and cousins Errol, Candice and Kevin our deepest condolences, may you find the strength to endure the void Uncle Chris has left.

I personally will miss Uncle Christie very much. It was clear that he had numerous great traits, for which he was held in such a high regard by so many. He was hard-working, extremely intelligent, and a great person to talk to, but above all, he was a very loving person, something I've been fortunate enough to experience from when I was just a child to up until now. From how much people speak fondly of him and how much he was loved, there is no doubt that his home truly is the kingdom of heaven. For this, I firmly believe this is not goodbye, but "see you later", as someone as special as Uncle Christie was with us for a reason, and we will all see him again in the next life.

To my dearest sister Cynthia, Errol, Candice & Kevin,
It is with heavy heart and great sadness that I try to come to terms with your enormous loss.
Although this great distance and pandemic times keeps us from not being physically there with you and your family, to farewell Chris, my brother-in-law and my mentor in my past career, our hearts and minds are present with you all.
I can remember well when I first enrolled in Marine Apprenticeship at Karachi shipyard where I met Chris for the first time and the wonderful friendship that emerged from that. He had completed his apprenticeship and was quickly snapped up by one of the large shipping co. the National shipping Corporation due to his excellent skills and integrity, to join on one of their large fleet of ships and with persistence and hard work rose to esteemed position of Chief Engineer. Unknown to me at the time, he was also secretly courting my only sister Cynthia, whom we were very protective of, but he made the right choice for no better, a loving and devoted wife and mother to Errol and Candice she proved to be.
Although we parted ways when we headed to Sydney (Australia) in 1979 and you all to Toronto (Canada), we still kept in touch, occasionally visiting each other. I can well remember my visit with mom and brother Keith for your 25th Wedding Anniversary. It was a memorable and wonderful occasion, that I will cherish for a long time to see him so happy and full of joy, and also when you, Chris and Candice visited Australia where we all celebrated Chris's birthday along with sister Vera, Alex and family and close cousins. It was a great family reunion with Keith, Patti and family and Henry also joining in the happy occasion.
Even when Chris was diagnosed with Parkinson's for 32 years he still carried on in his job and daily life with great courage and stamina, helped enormously by his ever-loving and deeply devoted wife Cynthia and children Errol and Candice who were there by his side until he was finally called to the heavens above to spend eternal life with his Creator.
As I say my final Goodbye, Chris, you will always be in our hearts with fondest memories as a kind, generous, devoted and loving gentleman you were.
Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen unheard but always near, still loved still missed but always here.

Times we spent together with my brother Chris as siblings meant so much to us when we were young.
I have many treasured memories and moments as we grew up together happily as one big family. I am grateful for the years we had and the closeness we siblings shared with our parents, grandparents, aunties and cousins and the way he always cared.
Chris was a wonderful brother of mine. We hold him close within our hearts and there he will remain throughout our lives. Our family chain is broken, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
God looked down and saw my brothers tired face, he put his arms around Chris and sent his angels to lift him up to his Heavenly place to rest.
My family Alex, Royce, Lisa, Denise and Annabelle will always hold you close within our hearts and will miss you dearly.

In 1995 we migrated to Canada in November. It was cold and there was snow everywhere. In the first week of December, Chris called to tell me there was a vacancy in his department. I made a fuss, because I wanted to relax for a few weeks before looking for a job. Chris said “Janice, be there for the interview and make sure you stick around when you get the job.” I’ve been with the company for 22 years now. See Chris, I did stick around!
He was a wonderful person and loved his Auntie Florie very much. He always made it a point to visit her on her birthday despite all his health problems. She was also very fond of him and looked forward to his visits. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
