Obituary of Mr. Charles Edward Fitzpatrick
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather Charles Edward Fitzpatrick, in his home of almost 60 years, on August 25th, 2021, at age 86.
Chuck was born in Toronto, Ontario, only child of the late Mabel (Hudson) and Edward Charles Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his wife Carol Yvonne (Woodard) in 2011.
Charlie was well-respected within the golf industry. He was a dedicated 44 year employee at Dunlop Sports/Sportlines International and after retirement, Executive Director of the Canadian Golf Industry Association. He loved his career and the many friendships that endured beyond the corporate sphere.
Chuck was a true gentleman with a witty, fun-loving disposition. He was easy to like, never spoke unkindly of anyone and embodied the very best values of character and integrity. We will miss his kind heart and ever- present smile.
Charlie is survived by his loving children Lynda (Tim) and Steven, grandchildren Christopher (Julie), Kaleigh, Michelle, Gregory, Darryll and great-grandson Auston. Will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Patricia Cox and her husband Allen.
Our family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to those who supported Chuck during his illness, especially Dr. Joan Jeu and Dr. Sandra Marcus.
Due to the current Covid restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Erskine Cemetery, Pickering, Ontario. For those who wish, donations may be made to Colorectal Cancer Canada or a charity of your choice.
