My memories of my sister Jane are many but I will share a few here so that those who read will maybe know her a bit better.
She was a kindergarten teacher who loved teaching and who really even more loved the little children. After she retired from teaching she tutored all grades and supported hundreds of children over the last 10 years ,
She enjoyed making theme cakes for all her nieces sand nephews birthday parties . She also crocheted blankets -every new baby received a handmade blanket . She always had a smile for everyone and her friends say she was a superb bridge player . I know she loved to go to the casino because we would go together on holiday Mondays and stay the day . She was a loyal friend to many, a favorite Aunt , a special sister . Her three boys knew that she loved them unconditionally and she did one fantastic job of raising her boys alone after her husband died about 30 years ago. . She was a strong and courageous woman who I think suffered more than we really knew with her declining health .
I will miss her ! Hope she is in a peaceful place free of pain and suffering!

Chris, Patrick and Martin,
Our heartfelt condolences at the loss of your Mom - she truly was a special lady. I loved her frankness - she wasn't afraid to tell you what she thought and we certainly got into some good giggles about that over the years while I was mooching some of her menthol cigarettes to have a chance of pace. I always marveled at all the stuff she did over the years and her varied interests and skills - the fabulous theme cakes - alas, no matter how much I begged her to get back into it she had no interest in it anymore - the beautiful baby blankets she made for new arrivals in the family - her love of bridge and the slots - still don't know how she and Angela could spend all those hours there but understand she had some pretty successful runs and of course her commitment to teaching and her "tutes". Most of all, what I loved and admired most about your Mom was her love of family and friends and especially you boys.
She will truly be missed!
