Obituary of Mr. John Brian MacIntosh
It is with sad hearts but joyful memories that John's family announces his passing at Centenary Hospital with Marg, his devoted wife, as always at his side.
Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Sarah (Tootsie), sister Diane, Brother Adrian and dear son, David.
Loving husband of Margaret for 38 years, cherished father of Dawn (Frank) and Grandpa to Michael. Dear brother to Reg (Linda), Don (Patty), sister-in-law Bernadette and wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews.
John's love of life and sense of humour brought joy to all who knew him. He was born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia but grew up in Scarborough, Ontario being the eldest of 5 children. After attending high school at Victoria Park C.I., he worked at IBM for 24 years and then at PennCorp until retirement at 65 years of age.
For many years, he enjoyed golfing, bowling,darts at his favourite pub and was a staunch Blue Jay fan. John loved to read, do crossword puzzles and enjoyed travelling with Marg and their friends.
Special thanks to John's professional support team and all the caring individuals, family, neighbours and friends who helped him pass his challenging days with joy and dignity. Special thanks to John and Marg's dear friend, Maureen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks, if you so choose, to make a donation to a charity of your choice.
A private family service will be held at OGDEN FUNERAL HOME (4164 Sheppard Avenue E) in Scarborough, on Friday July 30, 2021.
