It was with much sadness that I heard the news concerning Aunt Joan. Even though we were on opposite sides of the Atlantic we still kept in touch thanks to all the emails and photos from Roger. Lisa and James will never forget their first flight in an aeroplane to visit everyone in Canada. Fond memories from Rebecca, Jonathan and Paul and all our families. Rest in peace. xx

My deepest condolences to a very special lady. Joan spoke highly of her 4 sons and family. She was very thankful Roger looked after her for many years to keep her in her home. As a long time friend, I will miss her smile, and our conversations. A glass of wine always enjoyed, cheers to you Joan! Barry has been waiting for you, you are together once again. For many a year, Roger kept me abreast of life at home with his Mum, the ups and the downs and daily routines (including indeed the Chardonnay...).
All that time, Roger took very good care of his Mum and I know that Roger will miss her dearly.
May she rest in peace and may Roger have peace as well knowing that she had a long, rich live and that he contributed to that in quite a major way.
