Corradina (Scala) Cernigliaro, age 90, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 6th, 2021, peacefully alongside her family at Cobourg Hospital.

 

She was born April 22nd, 1931, in Sicily, Italy, a daughter to the late Francesco and Giuseppina Scala.

 

Corradina was preceded in death by her husband, Giuseppe Cernigliaro, her son, Francesco Cernigliaro, her grandson Joseph Cernigliaro, her brother Vincenzo Scala, her sisters Sebastiana Scala and Gaetana Campisi, and her nephew Corrado Scala. 

 

She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.

 

Besides her devotion to her family, Corradina loved cooking, listening to Elvis and watching I Love Lucy reruns.

 

She is survived by her sons, Gaetano Cernigliaro, and Vincenzo Cernigliaro, her grandchildren, Thomas Cernigliaro and Stephanie D'Amico (Michele D'Amico), her great grandson, Lorenzo D'Amico, her sister Maria Baldacchino, her brothers Sebastiano Scala and Gaetano Scala, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Corradina will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
