Dear Yvonne,
I'm so sorry for this loss that you and your family is going through. The pictures in the tribute were beautiful, she lived a wonderful life with a loving family and I'm glad she was able to be surrounded by them in her final days. I pray she is in a better place now and I hope you are able to cherish the good memories during this difficult time. If you need anything don't hesitate to reach out.
Love,
Faduma

Dear Auntie,
Thanks for your strength and for fighting to hold on as much as you could over the past year and a half. I am relieved you are free from pain and suffering. We will miss your sweet, gentle and calming presence. You will live on through all the people you have loved and affected. I will always remember your thoughtful gifts, the food you bring to our family gatherings, and of course the many rounds of Bingo over the years. Thanks for being a loving, big sister to my mom. Thanks for welcoming our family when we first arrived here in Canada. You are now with Lolo and Lola and other family members who have gone before us. May you all watch over us. Farewell Auntie Josie.
Love,
Owen

Not everyone is fortunate to have a mother-in-law that they get along with. I was very lucky. Mom was a loving, kind and generous mother-in-law. She was respectful, never intruding; always offering her words of wisdom from experience. She loved to feed us, always sharing her latest baked goods and recently discovered recipe. The kitchen was her space. If I offered to help or do the dishes, she would physically push me out and tell me she’s got it. We never went home empty handed when we went over to their house. She never came over empty handed either.
I remember the first time we met. It was at Wylene and Mike’s wedding. I was so nervous meeting Jay’s parents for the first time. She was warm and friendly towards me. I don’t remember the conversation, but at one point we were laughing and she pushed me over with such force that I was taken aback. I turned and looked at Jay and exclaimed, “Your mom just pushed me!” That was mom. Always full of life and full of laughter.
She loved Malachi fiercely, always showering him with gifts and awesome finds from work. Thank you Mom for your love and affection towards Malachi always. He was fortunate to have a Lola like you. Thank you for your sacrifices for your family. Because of you, I have MY family. We love you and miss you. Rest now and don’t worry. We will take care of each other. We will see you again on the Resurrection Day. ❤️

Mom. I miss you. I miss your smile, your smell, your voice. The only comfort i feel in your absence is telling myself is that you are no longer in any pain and suffering.
That is the only happiness I can take from this.
I am grateful and thankful for all the things you taught me, for blessing me with a strong wonderful sister, and the happy memories of our family.
I will always remember the love and concern you had for us, and the frequent laughter that filled the house.
Please rest now, Mom. We will take care of Dad and help ease his sorrow as best we can.
Please watch over Malachi and your family from up above as we honour your memory & legacy. Guide him as we raise him to shape a life as best possible as you wanted him to be, a good person. In that way your work on Earth lives forever.
Your voice will always be a comforting presence in my mind when I need solace or advice.
I hope we made you proud, Mom.
You will live on in our hearts and minds, and one day in the future, we will meet again.
I know I never said this enough while you were here, but I love you.
Your son,
Jay

Love you forever Mom - will miss you always - will miss your cute face - will miss your smell - will miss your soft hands.
I will cherish all the memories, but perhaps the most recent of them were the talks in the car driving to the hospital, the walks we would take and our routine of getting you McDonald’s chicken McNuggets after every visit that you so loved all the way to the end.
You called me your best friend and forever we will be <3- I love you so much
