His parents, Vagia and Vasilios Kiritsis came from Lamia, Greece while Vagia was pregnant to start a new life with their beloved first-born son in 1969. Demetrios was born in Montreal, Canada on April 3rd, 1970. He graduated from Cedarbrae High School in 1989 and from the University of Toronto in 2001. He welcomed his first-born daughter, Cassandra, into the world in 1995. He later had his second-born daughter, Zoe, in 1998. Demetrios was known for his endless love, compassion, and support of his daughters and family. They know him as their superman. Demetrios met his love Lisa Ricchio in 2013, and they lived a wonderful life together until his passing. The family shared three fur babies, Louis, Frankie, and Billie, which brought Demetrious so much love and joy. Demetrios was known as one of a kind and was loved by so many. He was an avid boater and fisher, lover of all things MMA, Marvel, and fitness. He had a green thumb and loved gardening with his family. He is known for his endless support of everyone he loved, his deep compassion for others, and the way he lit up every room he walked into. Known by many as the ‘strongest person’ they knew, his strength will live with us and inspire us for years to come.

Demetrios is survived by his two daughters, Zoe and Cassandra Kiritsis, his beloved parents, Vasilios and Vagia Kiritsis, his younger brother Tom Kiritisis, his step-children Daniel and Nicole Vennari, and his wife Lisa, along with his niece and nephew Adrianna and William Kiritsis.

Demetrios will always be dearly remembered as a superhero to all whom he loved.
