I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Aunty Beauty. I have known her all my life. She and my mom Lorna Jacobs became friends when they were 11 years old. They were born 9 days apart and remained friends for 78 years until her passing.
My mom is really sorry that she cannot attend the funeral but sends her sincere condolences to all her children and relatives who have also remained close
I recall Aunty Beauty as a kind and generous woman who was not afraid to support our family in time of need. I will be forever grateful for her kindness and grace, opening her heart and her home to my late sister Carlota (Halcyon) and myself when we needed it. The family home was always full of fun and laughter with lots of young people and activity. I recall with great fondness the World Cup of 1978 when the house was always an uproar with Windy and the guys shouting for Kempes and Maradona!
A visit to Aunty Beauty when she was in Trinidad in 2004 was my daughter's first trip outside our home one week after she was born. Aunty Beauty embraced her and always remembered to ask about her when we spoke.
Always full of grace and a beautiful smile, she will always be remembered by our family, my mom Lorna, sisters Gail and Lorene and brother Curtis.
May God receive her into his kingdom with open arms where she will eternal rest with her ancestors who have gone before her. Grace and strength to her family and friends.

Mrs. De Landro was a teacher par excellence. Although she taught with simplicity and passion there was the required depth. The students experienced her love, care, and patience, which enabled each one to feel special. What a beautiful soul: selfless and gentle. I thank God for the foundational role she played in the formative years of my life. Condolences to the De Landro family. May God shower you with peace, comfort, and strength during this time of loss.

Sincerest condolences on the passing of a Tunapuna Anglican School stalwart Mrs De Landro so aptly called Beauty for as a poet said beauty is whatever gives joy. I knew Mrs De Landro from childhood when she taught alongside my mother Mrs Sylvia Murray at Tunapuna.. During my tenure as principal of the school, she would often drop in and regale me with stories of the times she spent at the school and her friendship with my mom. "A life of service is a life well and greatly lived". May she rest in peace.
