Did not know Aunt Thelma well but was touched (from afar) by the wonderful spirit that she represented - through stories from members of her family, through the tributes so passionately expressed at the service today, and through her pastor who referred to the 'shining light' that so aptly described her presence and impact..
She was also a very close friend of my departed mother; they were in some regards kindred spirits. The service today touched me in some deep places.
My condolences to members of Aunt Thelma's large (and impressive) extended family, and to the many folks with whom she shared her life's journey. You have lots to celebrate.

My sincerest condolences to the Gravesande and Shervington family. I remember visiting Aunt Thel with Uncle Ron and Auntie Megan when I was a little girl. I vividly remember her calm and loving nature. She embraced me with open arms. May her soul Rest In Peace!

To all the Shervington and Gravesande family members, I am tearfully sorry for your loss. Aunty Thel was one of the sweetest individuals I knew. I have never met anyone who had anything bad to say about Aunty Thelma. Her love for God and family was always present and felt with every visit to her home.
