Obituary of Lydia Marjorie Watkins

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearest Lydia, who departed peacefully at home on May 19, 2021.  

Lydia was born in Barbados to the proud parents, Clement and Clotilda Brewster.  She is survived by her husband: Erskine Watkins and her siblings: Laurna, Joyce, Mary, and Joan.  She is predeceased by her parents: Clement and Clotilda and her siblings: Kathleen, Eric, Elsie, Walter, and Diana. She was an incredible sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend that will be missed. 

She met the love of her life, Erskine, and married on July 14, 1973. Their life together was a loving one for 47 years. She was a very loving wife and they spent much time together doing fun things.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, joking around at many Christmas gatherings and entertaining visitors at their home. 

She was a member of Global Kingdom Ministries (formerly known as Scarborough Gospel Temple). She loved attending the monthly family bible studies that also included: praying and hymn singing. 

She will be remembered as a compassionate person, an avid gardener, and a lover of political debate.   

Lydia will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.
