Obituary of Mrs. Adelina Balcita Ducusin

Adelina Balcita was the youngest of 4 siblings born in 1924 in the city of Catbangen, San Fernando in the northern Philippine province of La Union. Her parents Pedro and Dora Balcita, conceived Adelina 6 years after the end of World War I. To put it in perspective, in 1924, the US President made the first ever radio broadcast from the White House and it was the year of the first inaugural Winter Olympics. No space technology or computers, just books and hand written literature. Adelina was only 15 years old when World War II started. She went on to marry her sweetheart Antonio Ducusin and conceive 12 children, whom went on to produce dozens of grand children. Adelina was 47 years old when Walt Disney World was introduced to the World and 48 old when the first man landed on the moon. Fast forward 97 years from 1924, the world is a different place. A world dependant on wifi and technology. Adelina has lived a fruitful life and has lived through so many decades and so much change. For most, people would naturally change and adjust their perspectives to align with the times. Not Adelina. Her attitude and views never wavered or changed. Her foundation was and has always been anchored on "LOVE" and "COMPASSION". She is a Queen and a  Legend of her time and beyond and will never be replicated or duplicated. 97 years of life, yet it feels like she’s gone too soon. Adelina is survived by 9 of 12 of her children Tony, Henry, Soledad, Peter, Estelita, Eliseo, Evelyn, Elizabeth and Aniceto and dozens of grand children and great grand children. She is now at peace and rejoins the love of her life Antonio and beloved daughters that have passed before her. Rest in Paradise and continue to shine down on us.
