Obituary of Mrs. Catherine "Kay" Elizabeth Wilson
Catherine Elizabeth Wilson, age 95, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 at her residence in Barrie, Ontario. She was born in Sarnia, ON, Canada on September 18th, 1925, daughter of John and Elizabeth Nickolson. She was predeceased by James, her husband of 39 years, in 1988.
Kay is survived by her three children, Keith Wilson of Coldwater, ON, Bob Wilson of Warrenton, VA, and Heather Wilson of Coldwater, ON; her sister Lauretta Davidson of Toronto and her brother Jack Nickolson of Windsor; six grandchildren; Ben, Becky, Jordan, Paul, Avery and Matthew; and 13 great grandchildren Caroline, Charlotte, Catherine, Jack, Elise, Davey, Grant, Lindley, Danny, Callum, Jackson, Liam and Zachary.
Kay will be remembered for her joy in living, her quick wit and one-liners, her love for family (especially her grandchildren). Family and many friends enjoyed eating and laughter at her “Sunday Lunches”. She also had a love for missions and missionaries, traveling to visit these friends several times. Mostly she will be remembered for her trust in the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.
A private burial service with immediate family will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery.
