See You Later, Pastor Bickle
See you later, Pastor Bickle
You have lived your life so well
You have reached the centennial age
Calm now the struggles you've waged.
We'll remember your caring ways
Your loving smiles, how you pray
The solos you've sung while preaching
Your voice stays in our hearing.
You were such a humble person
Your love for God, the reason
You have served Him for a long time
You never complained nor whined.
In your sleep, God has taken you
To rest from your labors, true
We'll see you again sometime soon
When to God's bosom we're spooned.
You left us a great legacy
Of trusting God, His mercy
You inspired us to love Him more
Looking beyond what's in store.
See you later, Pastor Bickle
You have served God very well
May we have the same zest, ardor
Love and serve Him to the core.
2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course, I have kept the faith...
