Obituary of Clifford William Albert Swash

On the evening of April 8th, 2021, in his 98th year, Clifford William Albert Swash passed from this life into heaven to be with Jesus and to be reunited with his beloved wife, "Evey," who passed away five years ago.

Clifford was born in Toronto, Ontario, on September 13, 1923. The son of Roland and Mary Jane Swash and brother to Harry, Arthur and Mary (Kershaw).  Clifford held one job for his entire working life at Milnes Fuel Oil.  He married the love of his life on May 14, 1949. They had two children, Diane Payne (married to David) and Bryan (married to Liz), 5 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, all who loved him dearly.

Clifford was a good man, loving, kind, gentle, quiet-natured, unobtrusive and meek, and had a way of making everyone feel special.  He was a faithful follower of Jesus.

The last hymn Clifford heard just before passing was "How Great Thou Art." The last stanza proclaims heaven as our home and the joy that belongs to one upon arrival there... Then I shall bow, in humble adoration and then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art.  These words are realized in his life today.
