无法形容我听到这个消息时有多震惊。我看了那条讣告一遍又一遍，始终不敢相信我的眼睛，不敢相信一个如此有趣，美丽的灵魂这么早就离开了我们。当我们还在高中时，我们是很好的朋友，你比我，比大多数人都努力，勤奋，所以每次考试都能收到一份满意的答卷，我也经常向你请教问题，回想起来，历历在目，好像就发生在昨天。在朋友面前，你热情开朗，愿意帮助他人，随时准备为朋友们伸出援手，在老师面前，你聪慧大方，老师也从来不吝啬对你的夸奖。回想起当时麦马来到学校招生时，你当场收到了有奖学金的offer时，我们对你只有敬佩，只有恭喜，只有祝福。
再多的语言也不足以描述出万分之一的惋惜和思念。
安息吧，愿你在天的那边也能做一个无忧无虑的天使，愿你的家人平安喜乐，愿我们的心永远在一起。
I can't tell you how shocked I was when I heard the news. I read that obit over and over again, still can not believe that such a fun, beautiful soul had left us so early. When we were in high school, we were great friends, and you worked harder and more diligently than me, also than most people, so you received satisfactory grades on every test, and I often asked you for advice on many questions. Looking back, it seems like it happened just yesterday. In front of your friends, you were enthusiastic and cheerful, willing to help others and ready to lend a helping hand to your friends, and in front of your teachers, you were smart and generous, and they never hesitated to praise you. When you received that scholarship offer from McMaster University, we are so proud of you, we have nothing but congratulations, and we have nothing but good wishes for you. No words are enough to describe one millionth of our sadness and thoughts.
Rest in peace, may you be a carefree angel on the other side of the sky, may your family be safe and happy, and may our hearts be together forever.

My sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of Yue Yin. "Yuki" as we knew her at Bond was heavily involved in volunteering at our school and always received rave reviews from staff and Parent Council for her dedication to helping others. She was also very friendly with staff and students and quick to smile upon seeing her peers or teachers. She was extremely dedicated to her studies and was instantly accepted to Huron upon meeting the staff representing the school at our University Fair. This is truly heartbreaking news and I am so sorry for your loss.

其实老爸很早就想给你写这封信，但是一直千头万绪，无从下笔。你的成年礼即将到来，藉此机会，老爸写下了这份家书。
殷乐，你长大了，从你出生至今虽说谈不上给你锦衣玉食，但至少是在你衣食无忧的前提下帮你创造一切条件学习成长。从江阴文林的幼儿园到苏州新区实验小学再到苏外，你的每次升学转迁都包含了父母的心血和期望。
殷乐，你现在作为一个即将步入成年的初二的学生应该有自己最基本的自理和约束能力，每天能妥善的安排和协调自己的学习娱乐时间。相对你的学习来讲，老爸老妈还算是比较开明的，并没有要求你的学习成绩一定要多么的优异，只是希望你能建立培养良好的生活学习态度（你自己也说过态度决定一切）。一个人的未来由知识，能力，态度决定。知识可以通过学习获得，能力也可以在实践中增长，而态度由习惯养成。你在良好习惯培养上缺乏持之以恒的精神。现在端正态度还来得及，我希望你所做的一切，既利己又利人。

To the family of Yue (Yuki) Yin:
I wish to take a moment to tell you how glad I am to have known Yuki. She wrote bravely in two of my courses about important subjects, but that's a small matter compared to how friendly and endearing she was to me. I have taught many students in my short career and hope to teach many more, but Yuki is imprinted upon me as the ideal student--curious, challenging, rigorous, fallible, and open.
