I would like to give my condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Winifred Windebank, my grandmother. Though we have never meet face to face we had several talks on the phone. Whenever I would return to the states after serving tours in Europe we would chat and catch up on how each of us was doing. She gave me advice on a back injury I had while in the Army, and I took her advice. It is because of her advice that I am walking today without any complications or aids needed to walk. I count it an honor to have had those conversations with her. It was my hopes I would come out to visit with her but our schedule did not permit. She was a woman of elegance and class. The pictures were sent to me and I like to give honor where honor is due. Until we meet in eternity (heaven) you will be greatly miss on this side of heaven.

I would like to send my sincere condolences to all of the family. I was a very good friend of Winnie's and I will always remember her beautiful smile and the way she always dressed as a classy lady with her fancy hats. I will also remember her for always saying "goody, goody". Rest in peace my dear friend, you will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

It is with profound sadness I say farewell to my mother Winnifred (Winnie). A life so well lived, a legacy of joy, pride and pleasure. Mummy was the matriarch of a veritable dynasty. She blessed the world with six beautiful children, Francis (Fay deceased), David (myself), Patricia, Hazel, Donna, Mark and little Allison raised from a babe. Her life was filled with moments sweet and sad, always with a smile and laughter, her favourite saying "if you can't laugh at yourself"! Don't remember her with sadness, or tears remember all the laughter throughout the years. Those we love don't go away they walk beside us everyday.
You are contented now Mummy in heaven with George, Fay and Justin and all your loved ones gone before.
