Mrs. Evanthia Eleusiniotis

Obituary of Mrs. Evanthia Eleusiniotis

Please share a memory of Mrs. Evanthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Evanthia Eleusiniotis nee Giannopoulos was born on November 8th, 1958 in Paleopanagia, Greece. The only child to her parents Maria and Evangelos, they emigrated to Canada in the 60s and settled on the Danforth in Toronto, Ontario.

A prank phone call led her to her life’s love, Jim, and they married in 1985. In 1987 they welcomed their daughter Maria.

Eva was a true friend. She delighted in the joys of others and stayed close in their sorrow. Always the life of the party, she found a way to dance and bring people together in every occasion. She was smart, sassy and stubborn, qualities her daughter Maria is proud to inherit. Her home was your home, her table your table, her welcoming love accessible to all.

Eva’s greatest pride and joy is her daughter, Maria. She was “Mrs E” to Maria’s friends making themselves at home on Darwin Dr. over the years, and delighted in each of them. Eva naturally welcomed Zach, Maria’s husband, into the family with immediate love, taking great joy in witnessing their union in 2019.

Eva will be remembered fondly and deeply, deeply missed.
