Obituary of Mr. Christopher John Winsor

Please share a memory of Mr. Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Christopher (Chris) John Winsor

September 20, 1973 – March 5, 2021

It is with heavy hearts the family of Christopher (Chris) John Winsor, son of Aaron and Judith Winsor, wish to announce his passing on Friday, March 5, 2021.

A convert to Judaism, Chris considered upholding Sabbath Day observances a priority.  He was popular and loved by his many friends.  It was important to Chris to be well-dressed when heading out to spend time with friends and he was seldom seen without a Pepsi in hand.

Chris brought a smile to the face of all who had the chance to be in his company.  He loved riding his bike and was a familiar sight throughout town.  Zara was the love of his life and, in his eyes, she was perfect.

Chris was pleasant, kind and always willing to help in anyway.  He will be greatly missed by family, friends and the community.

Chris is survived by his parents, Aaron and Judith, his sister Yvonne, and niece Gabrielle; in addition to Uncle Ferdi, Aunt Janet, Aunt Kathleen, Aunt Pauline, and Aunt Rose on his mom’s side and Uncle Calvin, Uncle Earl, Aunt Madeline and Aunt Pauline on his dad’s side, and their families.

Although we know he touched many lives, due to COVID-19 restrictions his funeral service will be private. For those who wish to attend his virtual funeral service, please contact the family for the livestreaming link. In the future when conditions permit, a celebration of life will be held when all who loved him may attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Chris’s memory to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
