To the Reid Family,
I offer my condolences. Robert Reid was a kind and giving person who was always there to give to others in so many ways. He would be there to pick someone up or drop them off without a single thought. He cared for his family from morning till night providing and supporting his children through school and other activities. He ministered the congregation and provided bible studies and company to those who could not attend services. Robert was a kind unselfish soul. I remember often talking with him on the phone we would always get caught up on the kids work or whatever and have a smile afterwards. I offer this poem to his family and as much as he was loved for the person he was he will always be loved for the gift of memories that he has given us over the years. With love to the Reid family, know that he will remain in our thoughts.
His Journey Has Just Begun--- by E. Brennan
Don't think of him as gone away
His Journey has just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And he was loved so much

Condolences to the Reid Family,
Robert was a brother in the work of the Lord and he will be sorely missed. Our prayers are with Melissa, Gregory, Sarah, Andrew and Ian.
Robert was a foundational member of the Cinder of which myself and a number of others from the Tri-Church community were a part of. His heart for the poor, the forgotten and the downtrodden stood as an example of Christian love for the rest of us. His words of affirmation and encouragement kept our eyes on the ultimate goal of God's Kingdom. We know our brother Robert rests there now.
During the lockdown Robert would meet with us nearly every Friday over Zoom. Even while he was afflicted, he had still wanted to help. To the end, Robert was a servant of the living God.
Robert:
In the name of God the creator who formed you;
In the name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you;
In the name of the Holy Spirit, the comforter who sanctifies you.
In communion with the saints and all the heavenly host,
may you rest in peace, and dwell forever with the Lord.
Amen
Ben Lee

Rev. Robert Reid was a close colleague of mine working at Tri-Church. He, Rev. Victor Li, and I worked together to plan for Tri-Church joint worship, Christmas joint concert and skit, and other events. We ate, laughed, and discussed issues with genuine hearts and partnership. It is really hard to see Robert has left us already. When I walked by his office, I cannot help to think that he is still working tirelessly inside. Once a while, he would check my opinion on ministry. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Our condolences to Melissa, Gregory, Sarah, Andrew, Ian and all the relatives.
