We will miss the 'battle of the sexes' bridge games with Gerry, even though his team usually won!

I am so sad that my Brother Gerry is no longer with us.I will miss him but he will always hold a place in our hearts. I feel he is in a much better place now and that he is at Peace
Although I did not see Gerry very much in my younger years but he was there when I went to Toronto for Nursing School. He was very good to me as I was just Seventeen and first time away from home. I so looked forward to our weekend visits.
In later years years we did get to spend more as we travelled more especially to the Toronto area. Gerry was somewhat of a
Private Person but at any of our family get togethers he was anything but. He was funny, friendly and open and we had the most Joyful chats, arguments and the best laughs.
I offer my condolences to my dear Sister-in-Law Doreen and her family. They had a great life together and I know Gerry will remain in her heart forever

I am so sorry, Doreen, to hear about Gerry's death. He was a great guy with a special kind of humor. We will all miss him at the bridge table. If I can help in any way, I would be pleased to do so. Love, Shirley Airdrie

As the oldest of Uncle Gerry's nieces and nephews, my siblings and I though he was the coolest guy and felt so lucky that he was our uncle! He would come to visit (in the summer because he claimed to be Frank Mahovlich and was playing hockey in the winters) and we were enamoured with him. As I grew older and moved to Toronto, Uncle Gerry and I became good friends as well. He was a gentle soul, never raised his voice, and was always interested in what you were doing or saying. While I didn't see him as often once I moved away, I made a point of visiting him and Doreen every time I visited Toronto. I will miss him. Deepest sympathies to Doreen, Janet and John and Gerry's remaining siblings!

Gerry, you will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. Thank you for all that you did for us. You made us laugh with your dry sense of humour & you were always willing to share funny stories. You were the best father in law I could have asked for but even more importantly you were the best Grandpa to Nicole & Hannah.
We love you & miss you already. Love Angie, Nicole & Hannah
