We are so sad to hear of Ted's passing. For many years we enjoyed target shooting with Ted at the Maple Leaf Revolver Club. Ted was a great club president for many years and a highly talented shooter who was always there to help new and not so new members. He welcomed my wife Alix to the club when few women were encouraged to become completive shooters. His warm and welcoming personality will be greatly missed.

I'm very sad to hear of Ted's passing. My heartfelt condolences to the Free family. I was a young project manager at Giffels when I first met Ted. He was always willing to listen and counsel me when I sought his advice. One pearl of wisdom that I've never forgotten when you face a problem or a hard decision was to always sit back and relax and take the time to reflect on it no matter the time pressure or importance of the issue. Every time I'm in such a situation I always think of Ted and his sage advice. May he rest in peace.

I remember Ted well. We were colleagues at Giffels Associates for many years and for a time I reported to Ted in the project manager department. We had some interesting times.
Ted was a regular at our annual Retired Managers Luncheon every spring. Attached is a photo of the group but I can't remeber the date.We will miss him.

My mother just let me know of Ted's passing, and I wanted to express my condolences to the whole Free family. It has been (surprisingly) several decades now since I shared the haunts of Berkham and Monmouth with Michael, including several years delivering newspapers to the Frees, but what I remember most about Ted was the twinkle in his eye, especially when making a clandestine joke. I have no doubt that that twinkle lives on in those whose lives he touched, and hope that such memories will bring comfort to all. Rest in peace Ted.

We are sorry to hear of Ted's passing this week. We have been neighbours in this community for over fifty years. Initially our kids
brought us together, specifically Michael who was in the same year as our son Scott. Judy and Ted shared a love of cats with our family and our daughter, Jennifer, would often catsit for the Frees. They were also very generous in sharing their harvest of pears, raspberries and tomatoes with us. My favourite jam recipe is one that Judy passed along a long time ago.
As the kids grew up and went their separate ways, so did our families but we were always aware of them as we passed their house on our daily walks.

I hunted with Ted as a young man. I don't recognize the guy with him though because my vision is poor. At the end of the table is Bob Irwin. Of course Ted closest to the camera. Ted was a mentor to me and others when we were all Rover Scouts in Agincourt in the 60's. RIP old friend. Bill Shorley
