Bokal,
Sorry we lost touched and I just found out of your passing and about your health battles. I wish I was around to help you when you needed it. It is nice to learn that you never lost your sense of humor and the ability to uplift everyone around you beyond your years at Don Bosco.
To your family, I am so sorry for your loss and hope with each year passing the pain is lessened without your loving memory of Jonathan ever fading. Take care and God Bless you All.

We were classmates from grade school, and all the way to high school graduation in 1980. We saw each other again in 2006 in Long Beach, CA. We've caught up and reached out to each other since by phone call, text, and email. Last time I saw Bokal was when I was in Toronto in 2019. Bokal, Albert and Gene came over to meet up. Although it was short, we said we were going to meet up and get together again in Manila in 2020 but then came Taal and then Covid19.
Jonat is truly a special friend; he was our mascot and our cheerleader; he was our adviser, informant, and newscaster; he was our front and he had our back; he was genuine and real; he was true and original; he knew everyone and everybody knew him. We will miss you! RIP Bok!

YOU are link to my life and the rest of the LAHI when I married Irog. The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected.
You have been a friend through thick and thin, in joys and sorrows, you have been by my side especially when Irog died.
Even though you’re gone you will still be a core part of my everyday life. How lucky am I to have someone like you.
Thank you for coming into our lives. Thank you for the memories, ang walang katapusang kuwento ng Iskul Bukol pag nagkita kita.
I feel sick, I feel low,I feel depressed and I feel sad when I think about you’re gone.
Mamimiss ko ang texts at calls mo sa akin kahit walang occasion, you’re always keeping in touch.
When you had the kidney transplant I was so worried pero nalagpasan mo. Akala ko tuloy tuloy na.
Fuck this COVID-19!
Please continue to look for me and Jo-Raye.
Magkasama na kayo ni Irog at ni Uchie.
Baunin mo ang pagmamahal ko sa iyo, Bokal!
May YOU Rest In Peace. ❤️

BOK!
Me and your batchmates will be missing you in this borrowed life.
We've shared a lot during HS days even the parties at home in Sun Valley which I vividly remember
and the times you come up to me during recess asking for that empty bottle to claim the deposit at the HS canteen.
You took notice in helping me & my wife by sending one of your winter jackets to my daughter Karol
when she was in the US, "Hind ko yan makakalimutan bro".
I will keep you too in my morning prayers bok,
until we meet again.
Rest in peace "bok", Jose-Mathaniel M. Rozal.
