Obituary of Mrs. Santa Taccone
Santa Taccone (Santina) passed away peacefully at home, in her sleep on January 23rd, 2021 at the age of 80.
Born in Pachino, Sicily on July 8th, 1940, Santa was the beloved wife of Salvatore (deceased) and dear mother of Rosario (and wife Netta), Michele (and wife Maria), and Giuseppina. She will be forever cherished and remembered by her grandchildren Michael, Samantha, Christian, Giuliana, and Salvatore.
At the age of eighteen, Santina immigrated from Sicily to Canada with her mother Giuseppina and her two siblings, Corrado and Concetta. Santina spent many years working in the garment industry which sparked in her a passion for sewing. Santina and Salvatore were inseparable. Together they lovingly tended to their garden and used their harvest to provide delicious meals to their family and friends.
Santina had close relationships with many people. She was always considerate and generously gave love in many forms. Every action she took was for the love of her children, grandchildren, and cherished friends and family. She will be warmly remembered for her selflessness, courage, optimism, and wonderful sense of humor.
