We were deeply saddened to learn the news that Elfrida had passed away this past week. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you try to cope with your great loss. I have wonderful memories of her from the short period that she lived in Uganda, when she taught with my mother at the Ithnasheri school in Kampala. It was lovely to meet with her in Canada so many years later and while unfortunately we did not meet often, I was always cognizant of the long relationship that our families had in Zanzibar more than 8 decades go. May her Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
