Obituary of Mrs. Bo King Lam

It is with great sadness that the Lam family announces the passing of Bo King Lam on Monday, January 11. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

She excelled in school and started teaching high school math when she graduated. Married to Kiu Cho in 1962, they left their comfortable life in China along with their three young sons, John, Jerry, and Jason, hoping for an opportunity to provide a better future for the family; They arrived in Canada on Christmas day, 1977. Her youngest son Justin was born less than a year later. She worked tirelessly at her full time job and never failed to rush home to make dinner for the family. Even as adults, you could see the joy in her face when her children visited and she continued to lovingly cook family dinners. She was completely selfless, and every action she took was always for the benefit of someone else in the family. Family always meant everything to her, and she was so happy seeing it grow, dedicating so much of her time helping to raise her grandchildren, Daniel, Brian, and Declan.

She is loved tremendously and will be dearly missed. Memories of all the love, laughter, and other special moments that made her such an amazing person will be cherished and held forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.
