Obituary of Mr. Cleon Flynn

Cleon “Clee” Clifford Gilbert Flynn, 74, of Scarborough Ontario, passed away on January 10, 2021 at Scarborough Centenary Hospital after a brief struggle with lung cancer.

Cleon is preceded in death by his parents Patrick Flynn and Hermine Archer-Flynn.  

Cleon is survived by: wife Megan, daughter Melika (Andrew); son Jason; brothers Denzil, George (Elaine) and John (Annette); sisters Audrey, Angela and Patricia; 2 grandsons Andrew-Maliik and Andre-Makaii; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews. 

Cleon was born in Portland, Jamaica on April 11, 1946.  He attended Ferncourt High School, Claremont, Jamaica. He worked at Alcan Jamaica Limited where he became a certified Millwright. In March 1971 he immigrated to Canada. He married Megan McLean on August 12, 1972, in Toronto Ontario. He went on to obtain an Industrial Mechanic License from the Province of Ontario. Throughout his career he held various positions in his field. 

A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 20 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time at Ogden Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Campbell officiating. Live stream details will be made available by email. Cremation will follow immediately after the service with interment of ashes taking place at a later date in the Flynn family plot in Rest Pen, Jamaica. 

Cleon enriched many lives, was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
