Sending love and light to Aunty Henrietta (Etta)'s family and friends.
I have known her all of my life as my late mother, Umilta Tannis-Cox, was her dear friend from their secondary school days at Providence Girls', Belmont, Trinidad and then at Catholic Women's Teachers College, SJC POS.
The linkages were deep as her own mother was a dear friend with my paternal grandmother.
Many visits between Toronto and Trinidad
were filled with much laughter and several limes.
To think I spoke with her just a week before her passing. She has been part of both myself and my husband's life.
Wishing her gentle transitioning and her joining with choirs of angels.

We were privileged to meet ‘aunt Etta’ as we fondly called her through Pat Collymore.
Pat left Toronto but aunt Etta remained family to us and we shared lovely dinners with lively, dynamic discussions filled with wit. Aunt Etta was a delight and so intelligent and generous. I remember when I was newly married and she’d bump into my partner and I and offer to buy us coffee etc. It was in these moments that I learned that her best education would be imparted. She was a life learner, educator and a master at all times but her PhD was in life and social skills. I am certain that the angels will flock to her as she walks through those pearly gates and as said above, ms Walcott will be one of them! May she Rest In Peace. May her family be comforted in memories of her love and personality and may we all be blessed to reunite with her in the future. Love Rose-Marie nee Patel with deepest heartfelt condolences from the entire tribe.

I met Henrietta through my God Mother Jean Walcott, they were bosom buddies. So ironic that even death is not keeping them apart, Jean passed November 2 last year and I am very sure they are smiling and looking down on us. They were two of a kind, I remember Henrietta as a very warm person, jolly, and very appreciative of most things in life, especially good food moreso when it was Trinidadian dishes; that was usually the focus for our gatherings at my God mother's house. She will be greatly missed, my condolences to her family, friends and the Lions' fraternity.
Kindest Regards,
Joyce (Savi) Budree

It is with the greatest of sadness that I have learned today of the passing of Lion Henrietta Daniel. As a Lions Club member, I first got know her as we worked on Campaign SightFirst II and worked together at Senior Leadership Training in 2008. Over the years we worked together many times and I know she was a significant contributor to our many Lions causes and projects. Her loss will be felt for some time but my memories of her will live on.
Rest in Peace Lion Henrietta,

Sincere condolences to the family and friends of our dearly departed Past Region Chairperson (PRC) Lion Henrietta Frances DANIEL, who also served as Zone Chairperson (2010-12), Club President (2003-04, 2006-08, 2019-21), Secretary (2005-06, 2009-10, 2018-19), Membership Chairperson (2017-18), Service Chairperson (2018-19), and was reprising her role as Club President (2020-21) up until her unfortunate passing.
A dedicated Lion for over 23+ years, Lion Henrietta was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) for dedicated humanitarian services and gave freely of her time, talent, and treasure in sterling service to her club and community - especially the Wishing Well Lions Club's Scarborough Music Festival, CNIB/Seniors Bingo, and Smile Theater.
We mourn her loss with her family, friends and Lions family - members of the Wishing Well Lions Club in particular and all our Lions of District A-711, Multiple District A (Ontario), and Lions Clubs International (LCI).
Do take solace that "when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure", "death ends a life, not a relationship".
May God grant peace to her departed soul and strength to the family members to bear the loss.
In sorrow :(

In Memory Of Wishing Well Lions Club President Lion Henrietta Daniels
My Dear Friend And Lion Sister
On April 11th 2019, I was introduced to Lion Henrietta Daniels by PGD Lion Teddy Boyce. He informed me, that he found a roommate for me at the Convention. When I contacted her, she was dignified, professional, and very cordial throughout the conversation. It was a special day for me for many reasons. We spent the entire weekend of the Convention together, and established a lifelong friendship. Also, we had plans to travel to the 2020 Convention in Singapore.
Henrietta was sincerely dedicated to Wishing Well Lions Club. For many years the club meetings were convened in her home. In 2020, when other members of the club did not want the role of President, she agreed to be the President again. It was important to her, to ensure that the Club continue to exist. She did not consider the responsibilities at this stage of her life. She was fiercely committed to the Code Of Service” and wanted to serve “In The Name Of Lionism”.
She did not like to stay in the house all day, and often went out for walks. Our conversations were always pleasant and informative. Her demeanour exuded confidence and patience; she was articulate and precise in expressing her opinions. She was an exceptional and dedicated Lion; a loyal friend to me and many others in her lifetime. I respected, loved, and cherished our friendship. She will be dearly missed by me, and everyone whose lives she has enriched and inspired. Her Love, Humour, Sensitivity, Warmth and Kindness were profound. God has her proudly teaching new lions in heaven. God`s Blessings Always, to her friends and family.
Her soul will rest in eternal peace in Heaven. She is a Guardian Angel.

Our deep sympathy and sincere condolences to Henrietta's family and friends on the loss of a very special Lady.
But in grief there should be Joy in celebrating a kind, gentle generous life well lived. May she rest in peace.
To paraphrase St Paul: Henrietta fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the Faith and now has reaped here reward.
God Bless you all.

Etta always ensured that she connected with family members whenever she visited the land of her birth in Trinidad and Tobago. I am happy that my own children got to know Etta, who was a storehouse of knowledge which she accumulated over the years as an educator and regular traveller to several continents. If I had to describe Etta, two words come to mind: positive and generous. Etta, you were well-spoken, well-read, well-travelled and well-loved. May you rest in eternal peace and rise in glory. I'm deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Henrietta - a friend and travel companion. May the memories of times past spent with her family here in Canada and in Trinidad, her homeland, bring some comfort and consolation in the days, weeks, months, and years that are ahead. She has departed her earthly existence, but she'll live forever in all your hearts. May she rest in eternal peace. I'll donate to the Heart & Stroke Fund. My condolence to her family.
