Obituary of Miss Cornelia Allote Pooten

Cornelia "Connie" Allote Pooten, at the age of 51, departed this world to be with her Creator on December 18, 2020, after a strenuous battle with a long illness.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Jose and Juana Pooten;

her 7 siblings and their families:

Rhoda Pooten Calngan, her 4 children, and 4 grandchildren

Beverly Pooten, her son, and grandson

Joel Pooten, his wife Nancy, and 4 children

Jhun Pooten, his wife Susan, and 4 children

Johnny Pooten and 2 children

Hygie Pooten, his wife Maritess, and 2 children

Sonia Pooten Diyaoyao, her husband Romeo, and 3 children;

as well as numerous extended family relatives and friends.

Connie was a wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt. She was the aunt who loved like a mother, though she didn't have children of her own. She doted on her many nieces and nephews, she was not only their aunt but also their friend, spending extra time with them whenever she could. She also had many friends who will always remember her as kind, caring, and someone they shared a great many laughs with. She will be dearly missed but we celebrate the fact that she is now home with God, no more pain and suffering.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Toronto General Hospital, North York General Hospital, Toronto East General Hospital, and Sunnybrook Hospital, where Connie spent her last days, for their care of her since she started her battle in 2011.

A private family viewing and funeral service will be held on December 28, 2020, and December 29, 2020, respectively, in Toronto before her body will be taken to her final resting place at Mount Data (Sawmill), Bauko, Mountain Province, Philippines.
