Obituary of Mrs. Maria Botelho

In Loving Memory, 

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother grandmother and great  grandmother at the age of 85. 

Maria Botelho passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 3rd, 2020. 

Born on November 26, 1935  in Ponta Delgada Portugal, she immigrated with her family to Canada in 1961. 

Born to, and pre deceased by her parents Virginia and Manual De Medeiros. Married to and pre deceased by her husband Francisco Botelho.

Maria’s memory will be kept alive by her surviving family: Her Loving daughter Fatima, son in law Peter, son Joe, her 5 grandchildren - Amanda, Sheena,  Christine, Joseph, and Christopher and 2 great grandchildren Lenora and Charlotte.

A private family viewing will be held at Ogden funeral home on December 11th, 2020 with funeral details to be announced.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to a charity of your choosing to honour Maria.  

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. 

So He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to me”

With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.

Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, 

He only takes the best.
