Q: What will you never forget about Ms. Shirland?
A: I always told you Shirland that you where our sister from another mother! My sisters Freda, Linda and myself loved you so much! We spent a lot of time together and the laughs we had where wonderful! You’s all coming in the summer’s to my home in Port Elgin, going to Wasaga Beach! Playing cards that we couldn’t see for the tears tripping us we where laughing so much! You will always be in our hearts,, our love for you will never end! Till we meet again! Carole xoxoxo ☘️☘️☘️☘️

I was shocked to hear of Shirl's passing & am still shocked. We went to school together, although she was 2 yrs older than me, and she was my Maid of Honour at my Wedding. We lived two houses apart on Ivorwood Cres. in Scarborough and her parents were friends with my parents -they bought their home from my father who was a builder. She was always a beautiful person & I loved her mom who was always out at 8:30 in the morning attending to her garden ...Shirl you will be missed by so many. Shirland and I met almost 60 years ago while working at the Toronto Harbour Commisision we became lifelong friends. I am going to miss our daily political discussions and the many laughs and good times we spent together over the years. Shirland was a wonderful part of our family. She was always there since the girls were born. We all loved spending time with her, listening to her stories and her laughter was contagious.
