My sincerest condolences Bruce, Nancy and the rest of the Carson family. My heart gies out to you all.
I will miss Lois’ sense of humour caring and thoughtfulness. We had so very many good laughs and conversations. From talking about friendships in our lives and what we got out of them, how and what music affected us, food we lived to cook and favourite meals and flavours, how are city’s changed in the way it looked and ran to what it was like growing up in her family and surroundings to mine. One of my favourite things about Lois was her pet name for me, Gumby. Such a roarin hoot!! I love you Lois, thank you for your friendship. I’ll never forget you lady.
Love always,
Mark, Lydia, And Bruce Watts

Last week, heaven gained an angel, my grandmother. She was the perfect example of what kindness and unconditional love looks like. My favourite person in the whole world. I will miss baking with her, learning recipes, playing scrabble, and eating her oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (with a smartie on top) in the car ride home from a visit with her. I will miss the birthday parties we shared and the endless hugs and kisses she gave. Rest In Peace, our guardian angel. Xoxoxo

Mom / Nana,
To an incredibly loving mother and grandmother, you will be deeply missed. I find it hard to think of all of the things you will miss as the children grow up, but you will remain in our hearts and thoughts as the days go on. Kind, sweet and gentle with an eternal sparkle in your eye is how I will remember you always. XOXO
Love Elayne, Abby and Megan

Auntie Lois always seemed to be smiling. She laughed easily and often. Always had the best snacks at the cottage and when you spoke to her you knew she was listening.
I looked forward to Christmas because I knew there was going to be a nightgown or PJ's and they were going to be my new favorite.

We lucked out in the ‘Mom’ department - sweet, kind, maker of countless brown bag lunches x4 kids/spouse, and home cooked dinners spanning several decades.
As a kid, helping Mom ‘stir’ ingredients while she baked on weekends, and coming home after daily commuting to/from university to the aroma of something delicious in the oven was so welcoming and comforting.
Mom was hostess for many holiday/ birthday gatherings with our extended families both at home, and during the summers in Georgian Bay when we’d all pile into the station wagon (with our Lab, Prince) and head north to the cottage.
Mom was a collector of recipes - cookbooks, tear away recipes from newspapers & magazines, handwritten recipes from cooking segments in TV talk shows. Her favourite was The Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten), who reminds me of Mom ... gentle, witty, down to earth and a great cook!
Mom had great penmanship... she said this was actually a class when she was in school! She also took great pleasure writing Christmas lists in short-hand, that we begged her to decipher ( she didn’t) posting them in plain view in the kitchen.
Mom was an executive secretary early in her work life which came in handy when she stayed up into the wee hours of the morning typing my essays ( you read it right ... typing .. pre- computer days!) so I could get a few hours sleep.
Mom loved word games like Boggle and Scrabble. It was the kids’ mission to one day have the highest score to beat her, however, we would soon find out that would take several decades to accomplish.
Mom loved to travel. Florida, Las Vegas and Nashville were favourite destinations. Her favourite artists - George Jones, Willie Nelson, Tom Jones, Elvis - were often playing in the background as the daily housework took place.
Mom loved being a grandmother. The grandkids now range in age from 9-26 years and they are luckier than most to know what the love of a Grandma looks and feels like.
Mom said she had nine lives as she recovered from major health setbacks throughout her later years. She was stoic and just kept swimming no matter how hard the current.
Time to go rest high on that mountain ...
Thank you and Love always XoXo
Janice

I had the honour of meeting Lois, when I visited her Sister Joan and her husband Jim, as I was invited
to stay with them for a week in Florida. We shared the guest bedroom and there was one dresser and I took
the bottom drawers so that she didn't have to bend over, and she actually thanked me. When we played
cards I remember her whistling like a songbird . She sounded amazing ! She was such a kind and very
sweet woman. She also had a wonderful sense of humour and always had a smile on her face.
My thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful Family at this incredibly sad time. Joan spoke of her Sister
with me all the time. I know how strong their bond was and the Love that they shared. It wasn't too long ago
that Joan made Lois some cute house dresses, as she knew that she would truly appreciate them. She
would do anything for her. Joan always told me , that if she ever won the lottery she would give her Sister
a million dollars.
Lois in now in Heaven with the Lord and I truly hope the Family takes comfort in knowing that Lois was loved
by everyone that ever knew her. May she Rest in Peace.

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while,
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
Mom...my mind still talks to you,
my heart still looks for you,
my soul knows you are at peace.
I love you mom & will miss you forever xoxo

Remembering My Sister Lois
A special love flows between sisters, as joyful as a babbling brook. as deep as a mighty river and as indomitable as a swift mountain stream.
Friendship between sisters reaches heights other friendships cannot touch.
Having to say goodbye to your sister is heartbreaking and it affects your heart and soul, but we'll always be sisters even though we are apart.
Rest in peace Lois, you've earned your rest, but be sure to save a spot for me.
Love you forever,
Joan
