As a good friend of Tom growing up, from the 1970’s, I shared many happy memories with the Bray family including camping, cottaging, weddings and hockey. My sincerest condolences.

Sincere sympathy to Ellen and family. I had not had any contact with Gord since I was a child, until my father was in a nursing home, and Gord and Ellen visited him several times. That meant a lot to him, and to me. Gord and Ellen were the only friends from the past who did stay in touch and they would contact me occasionally to see how he was doing. When he did pass, they travelled all the way to Georgetown, for a small gathering in my home. That was the kind of friend he was. It was a long drive for them 6 years ago, and meant so much to my brother and I.
I am pretty sure they were friends since their early twenties, if not before and in each other’s wedding party’s.
I remember my parents, Ken and Ellen Lancashire, getting together with them for New Years and other times in the year.
If the family would like to get in touch with me, I would be happy to pass on some photos I have of them together.

Thank you Shirley for the touching comments and condolences. I do remember your Dad Ken and Mom as she had the same name as our Mom - Ellen! It would be nice if you could post some of those pictures here on the Tribute Wall. There is a button you can click on to "add Photo".
Thanks,
Tom Bray

There are so many beautiful memories to share with Grandpa Bray. He was a very dedicated husband, Father, Grandfather, & Great Grandfather. His kindness and love for his family will be forever missed. I’ll certainly miss our conversations about Genealogy and all the beautiful pictures he would show us. Cheers to you Dad Bray ❤️
