The First time I met Chris, he was just glowing, and his smile and complexion were both bright. I said to myself “what a handsome man!” My aunt thinks like me.
So moving forward, I visited my aunt and Chris every summer for a number of years, and that was when I got to know Chris. I observed hi to be soft spoken, but stern and easy going, yet very busy. Chris loved playing football so I asked to come along one day. The boys and Chris got into their game and I went off for a walk, but shortly after Justin came over to say “ dad is asking you to play because we are short one player” I said ok and was put on as goal keeper. I won’t get into the details of how we lost the game, but on our way home he said “good try goalie”
Fast forward when it was time to go home, he made sure I had all I needed and more, from handbags to clothing what could I do but enjoy the kindness of this sweet soul. In my time there he taught me he to shop for genuine and non-genuine brands, he impacted me in such a good way; he was not just an uncle he was a friend, which I truly admired, as he encompassed composure and strength wrapped in a soft calm voice yet reassuring demeanor.
You will forever be loved Uncle Chris, sleep well.

Uncle Chris was a cool, humble and fun driven person. He was a family guy and he would give his boys any and everything they wanted. He was very kind. He knew a lot of people. I remember when we were in Manhattan NY and he took me around the fashion district and introduced me to so many people. He was giving me the connection in case I wanted to get in the business. We were upstate NY and I remember we ran a race with Jermaine and Justin down the hill and Uncle Chris was really was trying to win that race. That’s who he was, he gave it all for his family. These are the times when we ask Why God? Why God called him so early? Why God gave him his wings so soon? But we just have to trust that God has a purpose for each of us and and we should be ready when he call us to do his work. Garnet, Stephen, Aamour and I will continue to pray for Aunt Sharon Jermaine, Justin and other family members while we keep Uncle Chris in our memories and in our hearts.

To Sharon and the boys. Denver ,the boys and I are thinking of you all in this your time of sorrow. I remember the 1st time, you all came to the house for a Christmas dinner. Denver and Chris both look at each other and said I know you. Denver always spoke so highly of Chris about his soccer skills and how he was such a great person , never getting upset on the field . I would always have to tell Denver that Chris was coming to our hospital party for him to come too. Chris would always have such a genuine and heartwarming smile on his face. He always make me think that he was happy to see me,until I realized that was just his personality , he is always smiling .Chris we miss you .

Sharon, Jermaine and Justin I want to express my sincere condolences to you at the passing of your beloved husband and father. Over the many years that I had the pleasure of knowing Chris, he always brought a sense of peace and calm to his surroundings and the people around him. Chris’s strength was not only in his physical abilities but also in his stillness. He was able to sit quietly with a smile on his face and fully control the behaviour of the people around him. He was an influencer of people with his quiet and peaceful demeanour. I never saw him upset and angry, Chris was a true gentleman.
The verse from the Bible that comes to my mind when I think of Chris is Matthew 5:9 “ Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of God. I pray that your family will continue to treasure these positive memories.

Sincere condolences to Sharon, Jermaine, Justin and the rest of the extended family. Words cannot express how saddened I was to learn of the tragic loss of my good friend Chris. Back home in Jamsica we lived like brothers. We were in school together and later got jobs together, we studied together and we partied together. The world has lost a truly genuine and caring person who always looked out for everyone else wanting to make sure they were ok. " Good Move" as he was called in college was always smiling. Rest Well my brother. I know you are in a better place and for those he has left behind my prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Chris, I lit this candle in lasting memories of the 30 years we joined as family friends. Even though you are the husband of my best friend, one could never tell which of you were really my best friend as there was no demarcation in our friendship. I will cherish the numerous memorable family fun times we spent here in Florida and Canada alike. Our family games of challenges for our boys to win a soccer or badminton match against your boys ended soon, but we never stopped finding ways to enjoy and share fun moments with the kids. You have been an influential Godfather to my sons, a dearest family friend, and a loyal husband to my best friend. You visited Florida in February 2020 unknowingly to say goodbye. And as heaven would have had it, the boys were visiting too. What a great farewell we had! Your gentle heart, amazing kindness, and loving spirit will forever be etched in the softest corner of my heart. Rest in peace my friend; your footprints will live on.

Chris, my brother, my friend, it’s with a heavy heart ♥️ and tears in my eyes that I sit here in solitude thinking about all the wonderful times we shared together. We worked together, went to the clubs, played soccer, badminton. “Yeah Man” we did a lot from 1991 until you could no more. Still can’t believe I’m writing on a memorial wall for you bro. I love you bro and surely miss you. Sleep in Peace my friend.

Uncle Chris, you were humble and a loving father. I remember I use to wake up with pocket change beside me on the night stand every other day or so when I was in Canada. I never knew where it came from nor I questioned it, until one day I told you and you let me know you put it there. Going to miss you, one love.
