Dad, I will miss you a lot. Thanks for all the advice over the years. I will always remember your phonecalls starting out with Hey, Sweet boy Tell me something and I always knew you needed something fixed and now Im glad I could fix it for you and we had that time together. You always had a great sense of humour right till the end. I will cherish your call on my birthday June 3 this year the day before you passed. Rest in peace Dad. I love you

~Psalm 34: 18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Dear Browne family, the Wood family in Orlando sends our deepest condolences for the passing of Uncle Trevor. Growing up, I have had great respect for him. Mom used to share stories of my infamous week long cry when we visited our Toronto family when I was a baby.
I have great memories when we visited the family in ‘78, where your family entertained us for a week. Or in ‘93 when I was in need of a car and he tried to give me a navy blue cavalier. He always showed me a loving, giving heart.
Our parents have been separated by hundreds of miles for decades, now they could be next to each other at the throne of the Everlasting Father.
My commitment to you is to keep you and the family in prayer as you continue in this season.
Robbie and family

Beverley Newell posted a condolence
Thursday, June 11, 2020
Uncle Trevor, who we affectionately called "Uncle Mizzie" (a shortened and cheeky term for ":miserable"), was the brother of our Mother, Elaine Newell, nee Browne, his oldest sibling. She pre-deceased him in 2007.
We remember our Uncle as a family man with a "take charge" attitude, hence his nickname. Our family lost contact with him for almost 40 years when he migrated from Jamaica during our childhood. However, we were reunited in the late 1980's and enjoyed the warmest relationship since then, hosting him and his wife, Beverley, on their many visits to Jamaica. They, in turn, hosted us at their home in Mandeville where they resettled for a few years.
We will never forget his outspoken, no-nonsense manner, and above all, his generosity to us. Uncle Trevor mastered the preparation of many popular Jamaican dishes and never missed an opportunity to share his culinary delights with us. Delicious!!
We could never have imagined that he would be called home so soon, but God knows his plan for us all. Uncle Trevor, you will always be in our hearts, and as we say i n Jamaica: "Walk good, and may good duppy walk with you."
May your soul rest in peace, "Uncle Mizzie" and may light perpetual shine on you.

Trevor (Chief) Browne Sunrise March 29, 1934 Sunset June 4, 2020
I will remember Chief a "GIANT" of a man who served Cornwall College Old Boys Association faithfully and well.
I had the pleasure of being the secretary of CCOBA during his tenure as president. It was a pleasure to work with him. Chief knew how to delegate.
To his dear widow, Bev, his lovely daughter Michelle and sons Gary, Geoff and Paul and host of family and friends; I tender my condolences. Comfort yourselves in the memory of all the wonderful times you shared. I pray that the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds during this, your time of grief.
Blessings.
