Only today I learned of the passing of this lovely person and her beloved husband. It is so shocking and sad to hear. For years, my parents would talk and joke with them after Mass at St. Aidan's. I never actually knew her name. I just saw her as a very jovial, charismatic, kind and warm-hearted soul. If only all Christians were like her, this world would be a much better place.
It had been quite a few years since we saw them. I assumed they went to a different parish. But I will never forget them, and will always cherish our memories together.
May the Good Lord grant them peace and eternal rest. Amen.

Sorry to hear of Rose's passing away even though Rose and Rupert are together again! I remember the chats I used to have with them both including learning about how to fix things around the house from Rupert, who often encouraged me to take on projects with the offer to help. I will miss Rose's girlish laughter and her ability to accept things. It was easy to see the love and devotion they had for each other. May they both rest in peace! Jennifer

Our dearest Auntie Rose,
We will miss you, we will always remember all the special occassions we spend at your house as a family.
You made us all welcome.
Your dinners and especially your fish cutlets.. you and Uncle Rupret would wait for us at door when we used to arrive from Montreal to have a late dinner. Our Christmas all together no matter heavy snow or not we would always make our way over to
spend the holiday with you and the family.
My dad (Benny) loved you as a sister that was always there for him no matter what day or night, they had some special talks and always remember their growing up days .. their dad on the rail roads and the stories were so funny to listen to, they both had the same love for each other always looked after each other , Dad was happy to spend time with her just a few months ago it was special for both of them .. My mum (Olga) enjoyed the love of a great and special sister-in-law. My mum was called Mrs. D, that was a bond between them. Mum knew anytime Auntie Rose would support and take the time to listen and help .. My mum will miss her and their chats..Auntie Rose would say to mum you are such a good person and would say you take of yourself very time they would speak or see each other. Again Mum was happy they spend time together a few months ago.
My Aunt Rose was very special to me ,, we would talk about everything from soap's (Young Restless) was her favorite to show and she would say how do you walk in those high heels ... She was fun and always had something to say .. She had a nick name for me it was Gillie funny .. .I will miss not hearing that again..Auntie Rose came over for dinner to my house ..
she was so happy .. and said Gillie you prepared so much .. yes i did just for you for all the dinners you did for me., but thinking back she though wow I grew up and i was in flat shoes.... she really cared.. ..
She loved Tim Hortons coffee. double double auntie Rose .. she said yes please Gillie, ..Dad, mum , Frank (my husdand) myself would take her for coffee and donuts .. she loved it .. She would say Frank you are so funny .. she loved Frank and his stories he made her laugh. Frank would say your Aunt is so strong and smart I told Frank yes I took after her..
Love you very much and with truely miss you...Rest in peace ..

In loving memory of my dear Aunty Rose, whom I was named after. She meant a lot to my mother Becky, to name me after one of her beloved sisters.
There are so many beautiful memories. When I was growing up, our family used to visit from Montreal, to celebrate birthdays and other events or just to visit. So many fun times with my cousins Lorraine and Sandy during our crazy teenage and younger years. I was married from Aunty Rose and Uncle Rupert’s house, took my wedding pictures there before the church ceremony.
I remember what a loving couple Aunty Rose and Uncle Rupert were and I always knew that they were soul mates. They were also very loving parents and grandparents. Uncle Rupert was a handy man and loved photography and I remember he had those old film reels that we used to watch. They did many things together like make cakes; they made my wedding cake and my son Justin’s first birthday cake. Aunty Rose is with her beloved husband now, together again.
Where did the time go? I love you Aunty Rose. Rest in peace.
Your loving niece,
Rosemarie
