Dave and I give thanks for our cousin Maria's life and presence, her loving fellowship, friendship and infectious joy. She called people darling , always wanted to know if "you were alright though" and was full of jokes.
There are so many memories. I first remember her coming around at my Grandparents. I was 4 or 5. She joined my family in Canada too for a bit. Life happened. but..
For years in Toronto we spent many Saturdays together, we shopped for her condo and everything else, cooked, walked to the Scarborough bluffs where we got stranded, had sleepovers like the days when she lived with my Mom and she schooled me on family history.
We won't be able to renew these times as we hoped after this plague is over but they just might be my favorite treasured memories that linger in my soul yes ...like that song.
We do truly feel blessed to have had her in our lives. My deepest sympathies to her sisters and brothers and all her family. The Lord lift you up.

Maria, my cousin - we knew each other as children and then reconnected as adults when you moved to Edmonton. You had the most amazing spirit and it was always fun and laughter whenever we were together. I love you and you will not be forgotten! RIP Maria

Maria my dear, I am going to miss our chats at lunch and your smiles. And the ox tail. You always brought a smile to me, even when I was having a rough day. I will miss you very dearly I will miss singing " how do you solve the problem with Maria". Rest in peace and take your contagious smile to the other side of the rainbow. We will have flowers in the pot in the front side of the building, the exact same ones you asked me to plant last year.

I worked with Maria for more than 20 years and have some very fond memories throughout those times. She used love to sing the song Yellow bird and even though we were on opposite shifts recently we'd very often sing that song together at shift change! Am going to miss her!
