God’s Garden
God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth
And saw your tired face
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So, he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Rest in Peace our darling Amma

Aunty and Uncle Thomas walked in to my life when I was just 4 years old. I will never forget the unwavering love and kindness they showed me especially during my teenage years while we lived down Siripala Road. Aunty would never forget to invite me for a meal of Thosei, Idli, Appam and rice and curry. To celebrate my birthday she always made me my favorite: coffee pudding. My life is a kaleidoscope created by life's ups and downs, joys and sorrows. Aunty and uncle will forever remain apart of that Kaleidascope that has made me who I am today. When I left for the USA at the age of 19, they gifted me with a pair of beautiful gold earings that I still own. Everytime I look at them or wear them it brings back all the memories that I created with them. I will always cherish those memories of two very special people who showed me love and joy. Thank you aunty for all the beauty, love, joy and tenderness you created in this world by just being you. After all these years, I still remember and hear your kind and gentle voice, your smile, and your laugh. I love you. May God keep you and cherish you. -Swanthi

My dearest Aunty, it was a great blessing and privilege to have known you. I so enjoyed your company playing a few games of Carrom or simply sitting by you and talking to you. You are gone to be with our Heavenly Father, but will never be forgotten for the beautiful, gracious, dignified loving and kind Lady you were. I shall miss you but consoled that you are at Peace now.
All my love, Aloma W

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with Amama.
I count myself blessed.
Amama showed me what love, tenderness, patience, kindness, grace, loyalty and duty is all about.
Her grace was declared by the way she combed her hair and placed her hair ornament,as well as wearing her scarf that coordinated with her dress of the day.
She expressed love and tenderness every time she held your face and said “God bless you”
Dignity was in her mantra as she proudly said ...
“I have 7 children 6 girls and 1 boy and all my children are good children”
Duty and kindness flowed each time she asked whether you had something to eat. At times got up to prepare a meal for her late husband.
Her patience was evident while she sat peacefully and poised at family and social gatherings.
I believe Amama remembered all of her children grandchildren when they greeted her.
Amama was an amazing woman wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, even though I didn’t know her all her life.
I know from knowing you Indra, Mohan and all of your siblings as well as their spouses.
I have nothing but great admiration and respect for you and your family and spouses.
Be consoled knowing that you have given to your mother all of your love tenderness patience grace duty and loyalty as much as you could have.
May Amama Rest In Eternal Peace

My darling Amma,
You gave me so much love, you taught me so much, you led by example. I will always be grateful.

Dear Amma - thank you for being such a loving Mother, with many admirable attributes. I'm amazed at how patient, kind, considerate and God-fearing you have been your entire life. I learnt so much from you. I learnt how to be a mother, a wife and a friend. You toiled faithfully and loved us all tenderly. I am very proud to be your daughter.

and beauty is fleeting,
but a woman who fears
the Lord is praised
