An amazing human being and a Superb Dr. It's sad to know he is gone, he was my first Doctor when I arrived in Canada. We called him Uncle. I often wondered what happened to him.
He was well respected and loved by all who knew him. RIP Dear Uncle Tackoor.

From Haroon Salamat
On behalf of Gemma and I our sincere condolences to Willie's children, grandchildrren and Dolores.
Willie and I go back to our high school days where we were classmates throughout our years at Naparima. In 1953 Willie and I decided to change schools and enter the HC at Presentation where they had a science class. We spent '53 and '54 at Pres until graduation. He went to Uof T and I to McGill until 1962 when we reconnected in Toronto.
Willie was a wonderful human being and retained the same sence of humor he had in high school throughout his life.
Most recently we kept in touch by phone and his infectious laugh never changed.
May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Jacinta all the family of Dr. Tackoor. I had the honor to meet and visit with both Dr. and Mrs. Tackoor when they visited Albuquerque as Mrs. Tackoor's mother, Irene, was our neighbor for many years. What a joyful, caring, and loving family. My husband and I enjoyed all the times we were included in their plans and felt honored to have known this family with such deep roots and strong branches. God Bless You.

Our families in Trinidad have known Willie's and Hyacinth's families for over 60 years, and had a closer relationship in Toronto for 30 years.
Willie had an amazing sense of humour, and was always ready with nice stories. He was one of the most capable family physicians in Ontario, and loved by his patients and friends. I was amazed ever so often by his incisive diagnostics when others were stumped. Willie and Hya loved Shaffina's Trinidad 'cook-up' which we had ever so often with Willie's wine

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with Dr. Takoor and his lovely wife in Albuquerque when I was employed to take care of her mother Irene. Sweet memories indeed of our conversation around the kitchen table and toast to our health. His sense of humor was delightful! He was kind, generous and genuinely interested in our well being. A wonderful gentleman—he will be greatly missed but there is comfort knowing their souls are together again. Our condolences to all who loved him.

It was a sincere honour to have known Dr. Willy and his dear wife in the early 90s, and then 25 years later, I was prompted to visit him last summer. What a wonderful colleague and warm human being! May our loving God comfort the family at this time of sorrow and separation..

We cannot say we feel the pains that each of you go through however I will say that we share your pains. Please stay strong.
We had the privilege to first met Willie through Hyacinth almost 30 years ago.
Some of our fondest memories with Willie was when we went on a boat cruise for his fifty birthday, to Las Vegas, parties and many more fun places we have venture.
This is how we wants to always remember Willie, jolly, easy going, funny, and most of all a down to earth person.
If you didn’t know Willie was a Doctor and you are having a lime with Willie you will never think that he is a Doctor. He was just like everyone of us and always try to make everyone comfortable.
Willie, we know you are now reunited with Hyacinth and your other family that has left this world as well.
Knowing the kind of person you are you will ask us to raise a glass and have a drink with you. We will my friend.
Willie you will be deeply missed never be forgotten and will forever be in our hearts, RIP my friend.

May you rest in Paradise and forever watch over your loved ones. A stellar soul that will never be forgotten.

One of the things I will always remember of Dr. Tackoor was saving my mother's life. To this day, my mother has said if it wasn't for Dr. Tackoor, she would not be alive today. I recall the many chats we had during my appointments with him. He would tell me I was a worrier, which is very true. I had seen him since I was a child where he was at Parkwoods Village before he moved to Parkway Mall. He and I had discussions about his retirement several times. He said he would work until the Big Guy up there had something to say. He worked hard and did his best at his calling. May God welcome you home and may you be reunited with Mrs. Tackoor!

Fondest memories of him and Hyacinth working out of the little office he had. The cordboard with all the cards and crayon pictures. Now I miss them both twice as much.
