Ah Fon posted a condolence
Saturday, April 18, 2020
On the same night that Yin Yin was talking to Yiyi Ah Kim on video, i quickly waved at her while she exclaimed : "Ala Ah Fon..." It was a fleeting moment and I wished I had stopped in my track and properly engaged with her. Moral of the story: no matter how busy you are, you have to make time for your loved ones as you never know it could be the last interaction.
Yiyi Ah Kim embodied both Martha and Mary. Her devotion to family was without equal but I never once heard her reproach like Martha. She was extremely gracious and generous. I am convinced that her strength in all her labours of love was because, like Mary, she was constantly at the feet of Jesus in her own private time. Now in heaven she has entered fully into God's rest and no longer has to be Martha.
Yiyi though you are gone, we know that the Yasu whom you loved by faith you now see face to face. Together with all who have gone before you, the New and Old Testament saints and the Angels you now sing Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty. We are assured that if we place our faith in the same Yasu and continue in our walk with Him here on earth, we shall see you. Till we meet again!!!
Affectionately
Ah Fon

We thank God for giving us a mum like you.Above all for opening your heart to receive His Son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
We knew you were a selfless and loving mum but the last 2 months were the most meaningful and uplifting time for us.We witnessed your strength in time of suffering.
Thanks to Michael for setting up Messenger. We ,ken and myself were always looking forward to our time together while Pin was at work. You never focused on your disease and we never heard a complaint or sadness in your voice. We had a precious time sharing God’s Word and praying together.
The most amazing thing was instead of us encouraging you, you were the one who encouraged us with your unwavering faith and the joy and peace that came out of you.
2 verses from Proverbs sum up what we want to say of you
Proverbs 31:28
Her children rise up and call her blessed.
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
We will always remember you with joy in our hearts

Yipo Ahkim, I have such vivid memories of sitting quietly in your kitchen while you cooked and the radio played in the background when I was a child. Your home was always our home and you treated us like your own, always smiling and caring, loving unconditionally. The best memories were made in your home whether it was listening to Savage Gardens, singing "Pixie Doux" with Fafat, climbing on bunk bed and playing with Ah foo's nunchucks. Playing with Michael & Pin's guitar and getting ready for their wedding! Watching the Wiggles when yiyi Maddy would come over from Australia, opening the thousands of presents from Tatie Ken and having so much fun with cousins from La Reunion, playing at the river, with the dogs and eating flower petals..?
Visiting Mauritius after moving away can feel strange but you are one of the few that can make us feel safe in an instant with that "welcome home" smile.
I am devastated that you're gone but I will forever cherish the wonderful memories I have with you.
Thank you for the person you are to us and for reminder us to treasure the ones we still can.
We miss you so much already.
Love, Lyndie LWP.

Popo,
I can’t believe that you are gone.
But I’m happy that your battle is over and you are finally in peace with God.
I will always remember you as my Popo who had travelled the world to spend quality time with each of her grand-children, looking after us, cooking for us and loving us. You were also a good travel buddy, thank you that we had the chance to travel together a few time and to create good and happy memories <3. I will never forget them and also I will remember your cool shirts collection:).
Popo, I’m going to miss you.

And since that day, I promise my underpants are perfectly fold anytime!
Thank you for this short and happy memory you left me, it make me smile each time we think about you.

Dear Aunt Eileen,
When we got together on New Year's Eve for a potluck dinner in Mississauga to ring in 2020, I would never have imagined that it was going to be the last time we'd be sharing a meal together. This is proof that life is short and fragile and it does not wait for anyone.
It was with a heavy heart that we learned of your passing last week and although all your loved ones are mourning the loss of a gentle, calm and patient person, we are comforted by the thought and notion that Heaven has gained another Angel.
You will be sorely missed by all those who have had the pleasure of knowing you! Your legacy of love, faith and respect is unparalleled and will not be soon forgotten!
Heavenly Father, as aunt Eileen returns home to Your Kingdom, grant her eternal rest and may perpetual light shine upon her! Amen!

Dear Pin Pin and Michael,
We are very sad for your loss but we know that your Mom has left this world for a better place. A place where there is no pain, no tears and no suffering. She is in the presence of our Almighty God and she must be so overwhelmed with joy and happiness at this very moment. We met her for the first time some 8 years ago and over the years, we have become quite fond of her. Every time that we would be visiting your family or that we would be attending one of the boy's Birthday Party, we would look forward to having a nice long chat with her. And, if she wasn't there, most likely because she has gone back to Mauritius for a little while, we would miss her. She was such a kind, gentle, loving and friendly person who would make you feel always welcome. She was such a good example of sacrificial love and also a great blessing to her children and grand-children.
May you find comfort in knowing that she is very happy where she is and until you meet with her again, may you cherish the wonderful moments that you and your family got to spend with her.
With our love and deepest condolences,
Robina, Kyong and Liam.

My most sincere condolences to you and your family in this time of sorrow. It was a pleasure to know your mom on those few occasions when we got together. It is with great sadness that we learnt the news of Popo’s departure to be with our Abba Father.
I recall of her the gentleness of her sweet presence, a humble attitude, a servant heart as she faithfully took care of her family, in particular Nathan and Lukas. Such an example of what sacrificial love and faithfulness looks like.
Knowing that Popo walked with the Lord Jesus as her Lord and Saviour helps soothe the pain as we hold on to the promise of reuniting again in our eternal home with our God.

Ma,
This is the last opportunity to pay respect to you. We've spent over 10 years together; the last 2 months were the ones we got closest. 10 plus years where you took care of Nathan, Lukas, Pin and myself. No question asked, no complaint made; you quietly, kindly, humbly served and helped us. What a selfless and sacrificial person!
A few hours before you joined the Lord, I could hear you talking, praying and praising God. As the song goes "…And on that day when my strength is failing, the end draws near and my time has come. Still my soul will sing your praise unending; ten thousand years and then forevermore …"
We learned the fear of God from your daily action and sacrificial love. We are sad and we miss you. Yet, we are also joyful that you are in the presence of the Lord.
One day we will meet again.
Michael, Pin, Nathan and Lukas.
