To my friend and brother in law Hugh Richardson; you will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
You was a person who loves the Lord ; although at times you were seldom early for church but it was your duty to get there with your family
We came from England in 1972 and always being close friends; fortunate we meet two beautiful sister that we both married to ; and we live our lives as we had promise God until death
You was a great encourager ; and supporter to me in my trials and testing ;especially when my wife was sick
I fell obligated to return some of the kindness that you had done for me ; but unfortunately things have change; and I could not give my last respect
My brother have your rest; I know that you can’t come to me again; but I will surely meet you in heaven

My dearest, gentle, Uncle Hugh, I cannot express how very sad we are all today. As I look at your smiling face in this photograph, I cannot recall ever seeing you not smiling, even as you suffered tremendous chronic back pains, nor as I saw your broken body in your hospital bed. Your body may have been broken, but not your spirit. You NEVER complained, NEVER asked, "Why me?". You were an eternal positive person. There's a saying that not all heroes wear a cape. You, my dear uncle, was a superhero who didn't wear a cape.
I have, on numerous, occasions, over the course of my life, told many coworkers and friends about my incredible uncle in Pickering who, despite his all his pains over the years, was ALWAYS smiling. Whenever I found myself thinking about my own pains, God would make me remember you and make me realize that I had no reason to complain.
You were truly a caring man. When you asked someone how they were doing in a conversation, you were truly interested in knowing the answer. You were not just intending to make trivial conversation. You REALLY cared to know.
You were a pillar to your family. An inspiration to so many others. A man, greatly loved and revered for being who you are.
You will be deeply missed, but NEVER forgotten.
WE LOVE YOU UNCLE HUGH!!

This tribute is from the Genus family to the Richardson family. It is with great sadness that we are paying tribute to our dear brother and friend Hugh Richardson. He has run the race of faith by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through his struggle with cancer was fierce he never wavered in faith and commitment to Christ.
While we mourn him, we know what great trust he had in the promises of Christ. We can be comforted by 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on the day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. We have this blessed hope and assurance that we will see our dear brother and friend in glory. With love and our deepest condolences the Genus family.
