Charles Pollard died peacefully in his home in Scarborough on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was the son of the late Walter Evan Pollard and Rosalie Etheline Pollard, the eldest of ten children, the loving father of Judy and James, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Charles was a faithful and longstanding member of his church (now Grace Church Scarborough, previously Church of the Epiphany). He was an active community member who was committed to lifelong learning. He led workshops through various organizations including the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Barbados Foundation School Alumni Association. He loved woodworking, crafts, poetry, and inspirational writings. He shared his gifts and talents with others. He will be missed by many. A Viewing & Visitation will take place at Ogden Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6pm to 9pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for the Life and Memory of Charles Pollard will take place at Grace Church Scarborough on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11am. The service will be preceded by a Visitation from 10am to 10:45am. Interment will take place at Pine Hills Cemetery immediately following the service. The reception will take place at Grace Church Scarborough.
