I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Ortiz family at such a very difficult time. I never knew Mrs. Ortiz personally but , my son Zechi is good friends with Tristan. From the day my son told me about Mrs. Ortiz all I could do is cry and think about her children. I am keeping the family in my prayers at this time and may God keep the family at peace.

Our deepest condolences to Andrew, Ethan, Tristan and Maya.
We first met Loc and her Mum, Dad and siblings 40 years ago, newly arrived in a strange and cold country.
With great delight we watched Loc grow into a strong, confident woman and a wonderful mother and wife. Always cheerful, warm and giving. The extraordinary generous spirit of the entire Dang family was embodied in Loc.
We will miss you so.
Love, Faye and Eric

Our Relationship began as manager and his direct report. At times I had to wonder who was the manger. Over the past 16 years it has grown into a wonderful friendship I will cherish forever. Her smile and laughter will be missed.

Loc, I will forever remember you......
Flashback to the year of 1986, the first year in high school where I met Loc. The start of grade 9, we both didn't know what to expect in high school but she made every subject sound easy. Loc was smart and intelligent. We became good friends throughout high school. I will cherish all the memories we had at school from personal talks to just being herself. I was lucky to have known Loc. She had a sense of humor, and was funny and always took the time to help others. Fast-forward to the year of 1991, we both graduated from high school. We departed and off to university but we managed to call each other occasionally to catch up. We lost touch for many years but 5 years ago, we re-connected not realizing after all these years both our boys were playing in the same hockey league. I will always remember Loc for who she was and will never be forgotten. I will miss you.
Rest in Peace.

We have known Loc and her family through hockey for 5 years. With Loc’s kindness, support, friendship and amazing sense of humour, we will never forget all the great hockey memories that we shared together. One of Loc’s beliefs in life was the importance of being honest with people: we mean what we say and we say what we mean. When Loc was around, I knew I could always count on her real time game updates and comments; I truly enjoyed sitting beside her during games and talking about life and school. Loc fought a brave and strong battle against cancer; she took each day in stride and in confidence. Loc was a wonderful mother to her three children and a great friend to us all. She always prayed for everyone’s safety, on and off ice.
We miss Loc more than words can say. Her beautiful spirit will live on through Andrew and her children, and they will always know how much she loved them.

I had the pleasure to have worked with Loc on a number of initiatives over the course of about 15yrs. Initially it was her abilities and professionalism that made her a sought after colleague, but after getting to know her better it was her humour, outlook and love of playing the lotto that put her in high demand.
Her memory and the things she taught me will surely stay with me, Loc was a real character.
May God grant Andrew, Ethan, Tristan and Maya peace in their loss.

I loved being in Loc's company. She made me laugh with her dry sense of humour, and I enjoyed how comfortable I felt when I was with her. To me, she was an authentic woman who would "tell it like it is." We've become friends through hockey over the years, and I will always cherish the time we have spent together at the rink, gatherings, and trips out of town. We pray for everyone at this very sad time, and we are sending love and light to Andrew and children. "May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace." In Jesus Name, Amen.

My condolences to the family.
I worked with Loc years ago. We’d both be working online late at night and we’d end up talking about work, life, everything and anything. l looked forward to those talks. I swear she lived on nothing but sofa crackers when she was pregnant! There was always a sleeve of crackers on her desk.
She was a joy to work with, always helpful and very good at her job.
A lovely lady and I will miss her.

We met Loc a few years back when Tristan was one of the new kids on our hockey team. Loc seemed so nervous joining our team, and that her son would not blend in. She kept on asking about classes and camps for her son, such a dedicated and involved "hockey mom". By the next year, Tristan was a veteran, and Loc was one of the "Veteran moms" as well. She was always smiling and contributed so much to the wonderful "hockey culture" our team fostered. She is a wonderful lady, and we will miss her smiles greatly. The wonderful memories, and the impact she had on our team, will live on.
