Mrs. Marilyn Oliver

Obituary of Mrs. Marilyn Oliver

Please share a memory of Mrs. Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marilyn Celia Oliver, age 81, passed away peacefully November 16, 2019 surrounded by family.

Born in St. Catharines to Albert and Ruby Blair, she grew up in London, attended Alma College, graduated Teacher’s College and taught elementary school until she married Glen Oliver in 1961.

Her home and her heart were always open to all who knew her.  She laughed easily and often, her smile was contagious and her soul caring and kind.  She loved unconditionally and was beloved as a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt and once you were her friend, it was for life.

Through her passion for travel, her famous family gatherings and her true gift for knitting and handcrafts, she ensured all around her knew they were loved, felt they belonged and had warm memories ~ not to mention heads, hands and hearts.

She is survived by her children Leeann (David), Blair (Celeste), Dane and Leslee (Keith) her brother Robert (Beverley) and sister Faye (Dale).  She was an adored Gramma to the lights of her life ~ Devyn, Ellen, Christopher, Noah, Aidan, Shayna and Kira and a special auntie to her many nieces and nephews.

She had many passions and supported many causes - autism, literacy, handcrafted gifts for those less fortunate to name a few.  Please feel free to donate to a charity close to your heart in her name in lieu of flowers.'
