My memories of Auntie Gloria go back about 50 years or more when our parents, and we children, shared friendships and happy times together. There are so many fond memories of play times at each others' houses in Cane Garden and my parents' treasured friendship with Uncle Stanley and Auntie Gloria. Through the years that friendship has endured, so the loss of Auntie Gloria is such a sad one for all of us in the Thomas family. May the warm memories of happy times with her and the support and care of friends and relatives, comfort you all in the days ahead. Heaven is brighter with her beautiful smile. May she always Sleep in Peace. My love and condolences to Uncle Stanley, Trudy, Junior, Susan and Desmond. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It is with extreme sorrow that we learn of Gloria’s passing. Our memories of her extend way back to the SVG days of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, when Gloria and Stanley first started dating. Those were the days with the Metropolitans (cars, Stan and Bren each had one). We had a lot of fun then, and shared many wonderful memories. Gloria and Stan subsequently got married and soon started their family. Bren enjoyed the reception but was unable to attend the church ceremony as he had a important cricket match on that Wednesday afternoon. Bren subsequently moved to Canada (Ottawa) but has kept in touch over the years. So hard to say goodbye.........Gloria was a beautiful person and we will all miss her greatly. We pray that God receive her into his loving arms, and bless Stanley and his entire family, and give them strength and comfort during this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jackie & Bren Bonadie

My Favourite Aunt Gloria Nanton. She was a sweet, fun loving Aunt who took care of me when I was very young. She was like my second Mother. She dressed me up on evenings and took me for walks around the docks. She used to sing for me with that melodious voice and I loved her for that. Auntie Gloria was very close to our family and had a good relationship with my Mom Stella her sister. She was a very loving and caring person who always looked out for everyone. She always had something to share no matter what. She never held malice toward anyone. She loved all her family so fiercely. She adored my two children Samantha and Krishna. We enjoyed staying with her and family whenever we went on vacation. We shared many stories together especially when she was living in SVG. I remember when my sister Pat was going to Canada to live she could not get her suitcase close and Auntie Gloria sat on that suitcase. What I enjoyed most when stayed with her is lying in bed with her making jokes and reminiscing all those wonderful times in SVG. The most important thing I admired about her is that she always remembered my name when I spoke to her every week. I would call to check on her to see how she doing and she would asķ for everyone in SVG who she new. She was always concerned about our families. She would call all her nieces and nephews names asking how they were doing. We always ended our conversation saying I love you forever and always. I missed talking to her when she took sick just after she celebrated her 82nd birthday on 27th May. I still have those pics Susan sent me of her in hospital and the video with saying "I love you Monica" these words will forever be etched in my heart. What more can I say of my favourite Aunt Gloria. A beautiful person in every way, God made her special and I will always treasure those memories and keep them with me. She is gone but not forgotten. The passing of my Aunt made me her sad but God knew best. She is with her father in Heaven now resting in his loving arms. Farewell Auntie Gloria. My sincerely condolences to the entire family. May her soul rest in peace.
